MY STORY

Hello and welcome to ihealthylifestyle. My name is Marius, I was born and raised in Lithuania. After my studies at university, I have decided to move to the UK and currently have been living here for 9 years.

 

I’m very passionate about fitness and a healthy lifestyle, I enjoy going to the gym, cooking and eating healthy food. This has become my lifestyle and I can’t imagine my life differently. I’m also very passionate about basketball and currently play for my local basketball team. I love competition and think that is great stress relief.

 

HOW MY HEALTHY LIFESTYLE STARTED

When I have moved to the UK I become a very lazy person. I worked at my day time job for 8 to 10 hours per day. Once I come back home from work I would just sit on the sofa watching TV or play video games on the PlayStation rest of the evening while eating lots of unhealthy snacks, like doughnuts, crisps, and sweets. I used to drink beer and soft drinks very often as well.

 

Finally one day, at the age of 25 I realized, that I was feeling very tired all the time. One morning I woke up, looked at the mirror and saw the young, lazy, rather unfit 25-year-old guy. I thought if I continue this way, it will end up quite bad for me and where will I be in 10 years?

 

That was the moment of truth when I had to say NO! I have to change my lifestyle while it’s not too late. So I have started researching about healthy diet and for training programs at home because I was too embarrassed to go to the gym and had no clue what to do there. But I didn’t give up, I found a training program at home and I was very motivated and consistent to make it happen. In my first three months, I managed to lose 10 kg.

 

That’s how my journey towards a healthy lifestyle started. Now I wouldn’t change my decision for anything. Research says that if you would do something for 30 days continuously, it will become a habit and after those 30 days it will be a lot easier to stick to it and keep going. All I can say is that it’s absolutely true and my first 30 days were really hard, but after that, it became easier every single day.

 

WHY DO I WANT TO HELP PEOPLE?

I’ve been there and know how hard it can be to lose weight, gain muscle or start living a healthier lifestyle, especially if you don’t know how to do it right. It takes time and lots of commitment to achieve our goals, but it is possible. I was embarrassed to go to the gym, I didn’t know where to start. I think that so many people are in exactly the same situation as I was years ago.

 

I have decided that I can help people avoid the mistakes I’ve made in the past and help people to achieve results faster by sharing my story, experience, and knowledge I have gained through those years.

 

The purpose of this site is to help people live a healthier lifestyle and fall in love with it. I want to teach you how to choose a suitable diet, training routines and supplementation, which all plays a big role in your lives.
